Sustainable Regenerative Bioprocessing
Freymar’s technology utilizes harvest waste from fish processing to generate omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The omega-3 FAs can be formulated back into fish feed and fed to fish in culture, making the industry sustainable. This is achieved through Freymar's Regeneration Cycle for Aquaculture where the harvest waste is processed through biomanufacturing.
Offshore/Onshore Fish Farm
Any harvest waste can be processed through Freymar’s Regeneration Cycle for Aquaculture
Harvest and Processing
Products are harvested and shipped to market. The waste goes back into Freymar’s Regeneration Cycle.
Reaction Products Refined
The microbial biomass, produced through bioprocessing, is subjected to refinement in preparation for harvesting.
Refined Reaction Products Incorporated into Fish Feed
Microbial biomass can either be formulated directly into fish feed or extracted as fatty acids.
Refined Products Harvested
Reaction products are harvested from the refinement step and ready to be incorporated into fish feed.
Fish Fed at the Farm
Fish are fed on enriched feed pellets.
Harvest Waste Processed for Media Formulation
Through research and development (R&D), Freymar has designed processing protocols for harvest waste. These have been designed so that the optimum ratios of microbial biomass-to-omega-3 FAs are obtained. This process allows the harvest waste to be formulated into microbial media.
Bioprocessing
Formulated microbial culture medium, derived from processed harvest waste, is placed into a bioreactor and inoculated with microbes. The reaction generates microbial biomass high in omega-3 FAs.
